Zilla Panchayat earned three crores, 75000 horses-mules are installed in Dham
Barkot. The District Panchayat, including horse-mule operators and laborers, did a business of about 17.5 crores in 50 days through the Coolie Agency on Jankichtti Yamunotri walking route. Out of this, the Zilla Panchayat alone got three crores. About 75000 horse-mule operators were involved in this period.
In the last 50 days, five lakh devotees visited Maa Yamuna in Yamunotri Dham. Yamunotri Dham travels to Yamunotri five km from Jankichtti by walking. For this, a coolie agency operates through the contractual practice for crores of rupees through the Zilla Panchayat. Even though the hotel businessmen mainly associated with the Chardham Yatra believe that the journey is low and hotel cottages are empty, but according to the data of Chardham Yatra, more than five lakh devotees visited Maa Yamuna in Yamunotri Dham.
Meanwhile, laborers, horse-mule operators associated with the Coolie Agency did more than 17 and a half crores. Out of this, the District Panchayat received a revenue of about three crore rupees in the name of facility, arrangement fee. Jankichtti Yamunotri has a Dundi Palki 7000, Dundi-Kandi 3500, Horse mule 3500 per round on the five km walk.
Out of this, 600, 200, 200 rupees, the District Panchayat, through its contractor, charges the said laborers in the name of facility fee per round. At the same time, DM Dr. Meharban Singh Bisht said that the Chardham Yatra is being operated in a better and well -organized manner. If there is a slight shortage in such an increased religious journey, then an attempt is made to repair it immediately. The administration is serious about the Chardham Yatra. In the future, the work plan to get it operated better is underway.
