The Cooperative Authority has been instructed to file replies within two weeks. The case was heard before the single bench of Justice Ravindra Maithani. Rajveer Singh and others resident of Haridwar had filed a petition in the High Court saying that Cooperative Election Authority unopposed
After the election, a new notification for the remaining posts has been issued, while the High Court has already banned cooperative elections. A new notification has been issued by the authority against the rules, which should be canceled.

After hearing the case, the single bench has banned the elections according to the new notification. It is noteworthy that 93 percent of the cooperative societies in the state have been uncontested. Recently, the state government rejected the authority’s suit with a ban on the election results.
