After heavy avalanche in Mana, the state government has decided to discover the possible barriers of the Ganga, the major tributaries of the Ganges, Alaknanda and Pinder River. For this, survey will be conducted in the high area of both rivers. Secretary (Disaster Management) Vinod Kumar Suman has written a letter to the Deputy Director General of GSI, the Director General of Wadia Himalayan Ground Sciences and the Director of IIRS. Loniv and irrigation departments will also be involved in the survey work.
