Karnprayag. Under the leadership of Garasain Nagar Panchayat President Mohan Bhandari, a foot march was taken from Bharadisain to the tomb of Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali at Kodiabagad Dudhtoli. At the same time, tributes were paid by offering flowers garlands at the tomb of Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali located in Kodiabagad.
Nagar Panchayat President Mohan Bhandari said that the main objective of the march on foot is to grab the government’s attention towards the fair to be held at Kodiabagad Dudhatoli, the tomb of Veer Chandra Singh Garhwali, the legendary of Peshawar scandal. Said that Garhwali was a great freedom fighter. In his memory, a fair is held every year near the samadhi site, but this fair is not being held for the last four years. Presently, the tomb of Veerchandra Singh Garhwali located in Kodiabgarh is also in a dilapidated state, which requires reconstruction. Mohan Bhandari demanded the government to maintain the tomb and organize a fair here. On this occasion, a large number of local people from Pauri and Garasain regions also performed traditional Jhumelo. Ward councilors Dayal Singh, Uma Dhundiyal, Harendra Singh, Govind Singh etc. were present on the occasion.
