Six km long drinking water line of Kaunj Pothni village damaged everywhere
Villagers going one kilometer to get water from source

Gopeshwar. Due to heavy rains, the drinking water line supplied to Kaunj Pothani village has been damaged in many places, due to which about 120 families in the villages have been struggling with the problem of drinking water for two days. The villagers are not able to arrange water for cattle. Villagers say that due to lack of water source in the village, they have to bring water from about one kilometer away.
Drinking water line is supplied from Ganjeshwar, about six kilometers to Kaunj Pothni village of Dasoli block. Mahila Mangal Dal President Deepa Devi says that the drinking water line has been damaged due to heavy rains on the night of June 11. About 20 meters of drinking water line has been washed away, causing a serious problem of drinking water in the village. The taps have been dried for two days. Asha Kathait said that he is not able to arrange water for himself and cattle. He raised the demand from Jal Sansthan to make alternative arrangements for drinking water in the village and improvement of drinking water line. Here, Assistant Engineer of Jal Sansthan Arun Gupta says that employees have been sent on the spot. The Kaunj Pothani Drinking Water Scheme will soon be smooth.
