The police have registered a case against the restaurant operator for drinking alcohol without permission in the restaurant. In this regard, the complaint was lodged by Additional Sub Inspector Sunil Kumar Raj posted at Shyampur outpost. Inspector in -charge of Kotwali RS Kholia said that during regular patrolling on Tuesday, some people were drinking alcohol in the tarpaulin behind the restaurant on Haridwar bypass road. The drinkers were seated on different tables. When a license to serve liquor from Gumaniwala, a resident of Surat, a restaurant operator, did not have a license. Inspector -in -charge Kholia said that a case was registered against the accused and arrested. He informed that action will be taken to serve unlicensed liquor in public places and hotels, restaurants.
