Jyotirmath. The 15 -day Kathak dance workshop at PM Shri Government Girls Inter College Jyotirmath started from Sunday. Vrindavan’s famous Kathak dancer and choreographer Ashish Singh taught the students to do Kathak. He taught the banquet of Kathak, the restrictions composed in three taal, Tatkar, Namaskar and Bhumi Pranam.
Various dimensions of Kathak dance were also mentioned. Ashish Singh said that today’s younger generation takes this art forward, for which students are being told its nuances through workshop in various schools. Principal Urmila Bahuguna said that this workshop is being organized in the school with the aim of advancing Indian culture.
