A new boating point has been prepared by the tourism department near Dobra Bridge, the lake of Tehri Dam at a cost of about 50 lakhs. The operation of 10 boats has been allowed in the boating point. Till now, there was only the only boating point in the Lake of Tehri Dam, due to which tourists had to depend on the services of Koticoloni to enjoy boating in the lake.

There was a demand to open boating points in Dobra for a long time. District Tourism Officer Sobat Singh Rana said that new boating is also being constructed in Nandgaon on Tipri-Ghanasali motorway, it will be ready as a point in the next few months. Also, another new boating point is proposed in Sandhana village from Pratapnagar, on which work is being done.
Said that the opening of the new boating point will provide employment to the local youth. Also, tourists will be able to enjoy boating at new places in the lake. Said that with the opening of new boating points, the villagers will also get the benefit of this along with the local youth. Today, on Tuesday, Pratapnagar MLA Vikram Singh Negi will inaugurate the Dobra-Chanthi Boating Point.
