In this regard, Chaturvedi has sent a letter to the Chief Conservator of Conservator and expressed the need to investigate the matter. Chief Conservator of Forests, Dr. Dhananjay Mohan has started the investigation. The Forest Department normally does plantation work in two ways. In addition to seeds, plants are planted in it, but for some years in the state, work on plantation and greenery has also started in small areas with Japan’s Miawaki technology.
Reacted the need for investigation
Under this, a proposal was made to procure 18333 plants in Dehradun Forest Division at the rate of Rs 18,33,300 per plant. The CCF Action plan raised doubts about this scheme, when it could be prepared in the forest department nursery for plantation, then why was a proposal to buy them at the rate of Rs 100 per plant?
The cost of purchasing is 10 times more than the plant from the nursery. In the letter, he expressed the need to investigate this. Overall, it is proposed to spend Rs 52.40 lakh on all the works under this scheme, which they have expressed doubt.

Similarly, he also expressed doubts on the proposal for plantation plan to be done at a cost of Rs 4.25 crore in six ranges of Mussoorie Forest Division. He objected to the proposal to plant plants of seven to eight feet height under the scheme. The letter said that small plants should be planted in the plantation in Japanese technology, which will take at least two to three years to take seven to eight feet height, but all these important things were monitored in the plan.
