Tallanagpur/Chopta. The eleven -day Mahayagya held at Kartik Swamy Temple and a grand Jalkalash Yatra with 51 Kalash on the tenth day of the Puranavachan ritual was taken out. On this occasion, the entire temple area resonated with the shouts of Lord Kartikeya. In the temple premises, the priests offered 1100 sacrifices in Mahayagya for world welfare amidst the Vedas. Today on Sunday, the ritual will conclude with Purnahuti.
Aishwarya Rawat, Deputy Chairman of Uttarakhand State Women’s Commission also attended the ritual. He said that we should work together for the propagation of our ancient monasteries and other places as well as for protection and beautification. On this occasion, MLA Lakhpat Butola and former Kedarnath Vis MLA Manoj Rawat said that such events play an important role in connecting the new generation with religion, culture and customs. Vikram Singh Negi, chairman of the Karthikeya Temple Committee, said that rituals are being done in collaboration with the residents.
